Nordic Arbitration Day 2026 in Stockholm

Welcome to the sixth Nordic Arbitration Day (NAD) in Stockholm on 7–8 May 2026, organised by the the Young Arbitrators Sweden, in collaboration with YACF and other young arbitration associations of Norway, Denmark, and Iceland!

The conference is open to arbitration practitioners aged 45 or younger from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland.

Thursday, 7 May

NAD 2026 will be kicked off with an informal welcome reception on Thursday evening. The venue will be announced shortly.

Friday, 8 May

The conference day will feature four engaging sessions:

• Case management, evidence, and the need to rethink procedural balance

• Reimagining expert witness testimony: Contemporary practices in arbitration. From virtual hearings to hot-tubbing

• Stockholm Syndrome in International Arbitration: Why do we keep appointing the same arbitrators?

• Sanctions in Arbitration: Practical Lessons, Common Pitfalls, and the Elusive Law

Following the conference sessions, organisers invite you to continue the discussions over a cocktail reception.

In the evening, dinner at various restaurants in Stockholm will be arranged for those who wish to join, followed by an afterparty at Södra Teatern. (Please note that the dinner cost is not included in the conference fee.)
